Ozzie Albies and Matt Olson each delivered two-run singles in the second inning, leading the visiting Atlanta Braves to a 7-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday, spoiling left-hander Blake Snell’s season debut.

Right-hander Spencer Strider (1-0) allowed just one hit over six innings in his second start of the season, helping the Braves improve to 5-3 on a nine-game road trip. Atlanta came to Los Angeles after losing its first series of the season in Seattle.

Snell (0-1) surrendered five runs on six hits over three innings, returning from ongoing shoulder fatigue. It was his first appearance since recording four outs in Game 7 of the World Series, when Los Angeles defeated the Toronto Blue Jays.

Andy Pages hit a two-run home run in the ninth inning for the Dodgers, ending Atlanta’s shutout bid. Los Angeles fell to 1-1 on a seven-game homestand and dropped to 9-11 since April 18.

The Braves pressured Snell early, loading the bases in the first inning via a walk and singles from Mauricio Dubon and Albies. They scored just one run on a groundout by Austin Riley.

Atlanta loaded the bases again in the second inning, this time with two outs, before Albies and Olson delivered back-to-back two-run singles for a 5-0 lead.

Snell pitched a scoreless third inning before exiting after 77 pitches.

Michael Harris II added an RBI double in the fifth against right-hander Edgardo Henriquez, and Drake Baldwin contributed a run-scoring single in the eighth off right-hander Paul Gervase.

Strider issued two walks and recorded eight strikeouts, bouncing back from a rough season debut on Sunday when he allowed three runs and five walks in 3 1/3 innings. He had missed the first month of the season with a left oblique strain.

Pages’ two-run homer in the ninth against right-hander Reynaldo Lopez was his ninth of the season.
